Mumbai: Nawab Malik’s Son-in-law Passes Away After Treatment Following September Accident
Mumbai, 4th November 2024: Samir Khan, son-in-law of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLA and former minister Nawab Malik, and husband to Nilofar Khan, passed away on 4th November. Khan had been hospitalized and undergoing treatment for critical injuries sustained in a serious accident in September. Malik shared about the demise of Khan on his X account.
The accident occurred outside CritiCare Hospital in Kurla, where both Samir and Nilofar had gone for a routine check-up. When Samir called for their Thar vehicle, the driver reportedly lost control, accidentally pressing the accelerator instead of the brake, causing the vehicle to hit Samir. He sustained a severe head injury, while Nilofar suffered an injury to her hand. Samir was admitted to the ICU, where he remained under observation for an extended period.
Following the accident, the driver, Abdul Ansari (38) was detained by Vinoba Bhave Nagar police but was later released on bail. In October, false rumors circulated on social media claiming Samir had passed away after the assassination of NCP-Ajit Pawar Group leader Baba Siddique; however, Nawab Malik clarified at the time that these reports were incorrect. Sadly, Nawab Malik confirmed Samir’s passing today.
Nawab Malik has two daughters, Nilofar and Sana Malik. While the Malik family is preparing for the upcoming assembly elections, Sana Malik was announced as the NCP-Ajit Pawar Group’s candidate for Anushakti Nagar. Actor Swara Bhaskar’s husband Fahad Ahmed has been nominated by NCP -Sharad Pawar Group against Sana Malik. Nawab Malik himself has contested from the Shivaji Nagar-Mankhurd constituency, they are now mourning the loss of Samir Khan.
