Reliance Retail Launches India’s First Armani/ Caffè at Mumbai’s Jio World Plaza
Mumbai, 13th September 2024: Reliance Retail has introduced India’s first Armani/ Caffè at Mumbai’s Jio World Plaza on Thursday. This high-end café, operated by the Italian fashion house Giorgio Armani, is also the fifth such location globally. Sumeet Yadav, head of Hamleys and Pret India at RBL, proudly announced the launch on LinkedIn, highlighting the team’s achievement.
Situated next to the Giorgio Armani boutique in the upscale Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai, the café features a chic Italian design with muted blues and refined palm motifs. Designed to accommodate 52 guests, the Armani/ Caffè offers a luxurious dining experience that reflects the Armani brand’s sophistication. The menu includes designer Giorgio Armani’s favorite dishes, alongside a selection of 52 premium Italian wines. Dining for two, including drinks, is expected to cost around ₹12,000.
Giorgio Armani’s preferred dish, the classic spinach and ricotta tortelli piacentini, is highlighted on the menu. The Armani café concept, which began in 1998 with a restaurant in Paris, now spans over 20 high-end locations worldwide, including cities like Doha, Dubai, Milan, New York, and Tokyo.
The Armani/ Caffè adds to the array of prestigious international brands at Jio World Plaza, which also features Gatsby’s Bar, Si Nonna’s, and Ladurée. Discussions about bringing the Armani café to India reportedly began in 2020.
