Mumbai: Bandra Couple Held for Killing Nephew, Injuring Great-Nephew in Property Row

Mumbai, 9th December 2024: A couple was arrested on Saturday night for allegedly murdering their nephew and injuring their great-nephew over a property dispute.

The suspects, identified as 56-year-old Habibur Rehman Khan and his 36-year-old wife Sana Khan, both residents of Bandra West, were taken into custody by the Bandra police.

Around 10 pm on Saturday, police were called to a family altercation near Gaity Galaxy theatre. When they arrived, they found 33-year-old Kamran Faizal Fazal lying in a pool of blood and his 18-year-old great-nephew, Sadikin Riyassuddin Sayyed, injured. Fazal was rushed to Bhabha Hospital but was declared dead on arrival. Sayyed, who suffered minor injuries, told the police that the family had gone to discuss a property dispute with the elderly couple. An argument escalated between the couple and Fazal, during which Khan reportedly grabbed a bamboo stick and attacked both men. Fazal died from the injuries, while Sayyed managed to escape with minor wounds.

Following Sayyed’s statement, the couple was charged with murder and arrested by the Bandra police.
