Mumbai: Bus Catches Fire Under Aarey Metro Station, Metro Services Briefly Affected
Mumbai, 5th September 2026: Panic gripped Mumbai’s western suburb of Goregaon on Thursday after a bus parked beneath the Aarey Metro Station caught fire. Thick smoke engulfed the area, causing alarm among commuters and briefly affecting Metro services.
According to preliminary information, the fire reportedly broke out due to a suspected technical malfunction in the bus. The flames quickly spread and engulfed the vehicle.
Fortunately, no passengers were inside the bus when the incident occurred. The driver, who was reportedly the only person present in the vehicle, managed to exit in time. No casualties or injuries were reported.
