Mumbai: Minor Girl Sexually Assaulted By Boy She Met On Facebook
Mumbai, 24th February 2023: A 14-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in the Fort area by a friend she made on Facebook. The video of the incident was uploaded to her Instagram. A case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act has been registered against the accused at the Mata Ramabai Ambedkar (MRA) Marg Police Station.
The accused and the victim girl met each other on Facebook. The accused took the 14-year-old to a hotel in Azad Maidan and sexually assaulted her. The accused also filmed the incident. When the victim’s mother and elder sister checked her Instagram account when she was in school, they found six video tapes containing pornographic images of the girl, sent by a young man. When asked about this, the victim girl narrated the incident.
According to the complaint filed by the victim girl’s mother, a case was registered against the accused youth. The traffic police registered a case under Section 376 (3) of the Indian Penal Code and Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse Act on Thursday. Police are investigating further.
