Mumbai: 65-Year-Old Dies After Car Hits Her
Mumbai, 1st March 2023: A 65-year-old woman died after being hit by a motor vehicle in Borivali East. The Dahisar police have registered a case against the motor vehicle driver based on the complaint made by the son of the deceased woman.
Yashoda Palav, who lived in Sudam Nagar in the Kajupada area of Borivali, used to go for a walk every evening. As usual, around 5.15 pm on Tuesday, she left home for a walk with her neighbour Vijaya Munde. She was hit by a motor vehicle on the road in front of Shingvekar Saraf shop in the Shantivan area of Borivali. The pedestrians immediately rushed to help her.
A pedestrian informed Yashoda Palav’s son Sachin about the accident through his mobile phone. After that, Sachin also reached the spot. An ambulance also reached the spot, and Yashoda was taken to Shrikrishna Hospital in Borivali East.
The doctors there started treatment on Yashoda Palav. Doctors said that Yashoda’s rib and right leg were fractured. But the doctor announced that Yashoda Palav passed away at around 11 pm during the treatment. A case was registered against the motor vehicle driver based on the complaint filed by her son in this matter. The driver’s name is Devesh Joseph, the officer said.
