Navi Mumbai: Awareness Program And Poetry Vigil Organised For Women’s Day

Navi Mumbai, 9th March 2023: An appreciation ceremony for talented and successful women was celebrated at Sahitya Mandir, Vashi. This appreciation ceremony was held in association with the Maharashtra State Department of Higher and Technical Education, Directorate of Libraries, Mumbai District Library Officer’s Office, Thane and Prof. Manikrao Kirtane Library in Vashi. The program was inaugurated by Municipal Additional Commissioner Sujata Dhole, while Shalini Ingole, Assistant Library Director Mumbai Division, presided over the function.

Famous poets and budding poets from Navi Mumbai mesmerized the auditorium by unfolding the emotions of women through a unique program called “Samvad Nyathancha-Kavita.com”. Sujata Dhole, while elaborating on the objective of Women’s Day, gave the message that women should express themselves. Shalini Ingole reviewed the schemes implemented by the Maharashtra government for women. District Library Officer Prashant Patil, while presenting the account of the library in Thane district, praised Prof. Manikrao Keerth for the cooperation of the library. Prof. Ashwini Bachalkar expressed her best wishes for women in all provinces.

On the occasion of World Women’s Day and Amrit Mahotsav of Indian Independence, 100 women in Navi Mumbai were felicitated with special medals. Women who work in many fields like education, social, medicine, social service, art, hospital, and transport, and who are ready to make great strides were selected among women. Subhash Kulkarni, President of the Marathi Literature, Culture and Art Board, thanked everyone.
