Mumbai: 41-Year-Old Man Dies After Falling Off BEST Bus
Mumbai, 17th March 2023: On Tuesday, a 41-year-old resident of Malad East lost his life after falling off a packed BEST bus and colliding with its back wheel. After boarding the BEST bus from the Bandongri bus stop in Kandivali, the victim, Mohammed Naseem, a tailor by trade, was standing on the footboard when the bus was struck by a tempo.
Police in Samta Nagar have reported a case of reckless driving, negligence-related fatality, and endangering life. They are looking for the unidentified tempo that may have been engaged in the crime.
Around 10.30 am, Naseem, a resident of Malad East, and his coworker Pramod Sharma (33) were travelling to their place of employment when the event happened. Sharma too got off the bus, but he only suffered minor wounds. The crew is looking for the unidentified tempo driver who was involved in the collision. The route and direction that the car followed after brushing past Naseem and Sharma, who lost their balance and slid off, are being traced on CCTV footage.
