Mumbai: Separate Corona Outpatient Department To Start In KEM Hospital Within This Week
Mumbai, 12th April 2023: Keeping in mind the increasing number of patients infected with Covid-19, the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Administration has reviewed the preparedness of all hospitals. It has been decided to start a Corona Outpatient Department in KEM Hospital. This Outpatient Department will be operational by the end of this week.
The decision was taken in a meeting with Sangeeta Rawat, the Hospital Founder and heads of various departments. The Outpatient Department for Cough, Cold, and Fever (CCF) will be started. In this Outpatient Department, patients will be registered, their samples will be taken and sent for examination, and patients will be treated according to the corona test report. At the same time, patients suffering from ‘H3N2’ and general fever, cold, and cough will also be treated in this Outpatient Department.
Dr Vijayakumar Singh, KEM Hospital, Head of the Community Medicine Department & Professor said, “Along with the immediate treatment of the corona-infected patients found in the Corona Outpatient Department, they will be advised to admit them to the hospital or stay in isolation at home, keeping in mind their condition.”
Hospital staff are constantly coming in contact with patients infected with the coronavirus. So they are more likely to get infected with the coronavirus. Employees infected with Corona will be kept in isolation for seven days.
