Mumbai: Mukesh Ambani Receives Death Threat Demanding Rs 20 Crore, FIR Registered
Mumbai, 28th October 2023: Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani has been targeted with death threats once again, as an ominous email received on October 27 demanded a payment of Rs 20 crore, threatening to shoot him if the demand wasn’t met.
In response, a case has been registered under sections 387 and 506 (2) of the IPC at Mumbai’s Gamdevi police station. The police have initiated a thorough investigation and express confidence in tracing the accused promptly.
This isn’t the first time Ambani has faced such threats. Last year, a caller had threatened to blow up Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital and harm Mukesh, Nita Ambani, and their sons. The ominous warning also included a threat to bomb Ambani’s residence, Antilia.
In a related incident in 2021, a car laden with explosives was discovered near Antilia, causing widespread concern. The discovery included 20 gelatin sticks and a threatening letter aimed at the Ambani family. Subsequent investigations led to the arrest of individuals connected to the threat.
