BJP Thane District President and MLA Lead Protest Against MVA’s Handling of Badlapur Case

Thane, 24th August 2024: On Saturday, BJP members held a protest in Thane against the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), accusing opposition parties of politicizing the alleged sexual abuse of two minor girls at a school in Badlapur.
The demonstration, led by BJP Thane district president Sanjay Waghule and MLA Sanjay Kelkar, took place in front of the Ahilyadevi memorial despite the rain. The protesters demanded prompt justice for the victims.
Waghule criticized the MVA for allegedly using the tragedy for political gain, claiming it tarnishes Maharashtra’s reputation. Kelkar accused MVA leaders of prioritizing political ambitions over empathy.
The protest saw participation from local BJP leaders, former corporators, members of the women’s wing, and other party officials.
In response, the MVA has conducted protests across Maharashtra, criticizing the Mahayuti government’s handling of the Badlapur case, which led to a major rail blockade demonstration on Tuesday.
