Mumbai, 16th June 2021: Recently, Residents of the Hiranandani Estate Society of Kandivali had complained about a fake vaccination drive. After the clarification from hospitals concerned, Mumbai police have started an investigation.

It is learnt that on 30th May, there was a vaccination drive organized in Hiranandani Estate Society of Kandivali. 390 residents got the first dose of the Covishield vaccine. Earlier, accused Rajesh Pandey had met the society members and claimed to be from Kokilaben Ambani Hospital. After the meeting, Sanjay Gupta arranged the drive and Mahendra Singh took cash from the residents.

However, after vaccination, citizens did not get any text message on their phone and they also had certificates from different hospitals. Suspicions grew as the certificates had different dates and different places.

Nanavati Super Specialty Hospital clarified that they found out about this drive from residents of the society and said that they are not arranging the vaccination drives in the housing societies. The hospital also added that they are cooperating with authorities and appealed not to believe such persons posing as agents of the hospital.
