Horrific Murder in Thane: Security Supervisor Found Decapitated at Lodha Amara
Thane, 16th September 2024: A horrifying incident occurred in Thane’s upscale Lodha Amara neighbourhood, where a security supervisor was found murdered. The crime happened on Sunday night around 10 PM, according to Thane police.
The murder took place at the Lodha complex on Kolshet Road, Kapurbawdi, Thane. Senior Police Inspector from Kapurbawdi police station and a team from the Thane crime branch arrived at the scene early Monday morning after the crime was reported.
Disturbing images of the murder have surfaced, alarming residents of the affluent Lodha Amara community. The victim was discovered on the terrace of one of the buildings, with his head gruesomely severed from his body.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Amar Singh Jadhav confirmed that the incident occurred around 10 PM on Sunday and identified the victim as 35-year-old Somnath Satgir. The case is currently being processed, he added.
The body has been sent for post-mortem, and an investigation is ongoing. Police indicated that the assailant used a sharp weapon to decapitate the victim, leaving the body in a pool of blood before fleeing the scene.
The crime was uncovered when someone found the headless body on the building’s terrace on Monday morning, prompting an immediate police response.
