ICAI Pune Branch bagged four awards

Pune, 27th February 2024: The Pune branch of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has bagged a total of four awards, including two at the national level and two at the regional level (Western India Regional Council – WIRC) for outstanding performance in 2023. ICAI’s Pune branch bagged the second prize at the national level for the best branch and best student (Western India Chartered Accountants Students Association) branch WICASA, while at the regional level, the first prize went to the Pune branch of ICAI & second prize for WICASA Pune.

The awards were presented in the auspicious presence of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, ICAI President CA Aniket Talathi, and Vice President Rajkumar Agrawal at the recent annual function organized in New Delhi. ICAI Pune Branch President CA Rajesh Agarwal and WICASA Pune President CA Sachin Miniyar accepted all four awards. Central Council Member CA Chandrasekhar Chitale, Vice President of ICAI Pune CA Amruta Kulkarni, Secretary CA Ajinkya Randive, Treasurer CA Hrishikesh Badave, Vice President of WICASA Pune Sairam Khond, Secretary Madhavik Shah, Treasurer Samiksha Shirsat, Sneha Vedpathak, Omkar Phapal, Suhas Sawant were present on the occasion.

Every year awards are given for the best branch as well as student branch from the national and regional offices of the organization. Among the national level branches, the Pune branch and the WICASA branch received the award for working according to the eligibility criteria.

CA Rajesh Agarwal said, “Throughout the year, the ICAI Pune Branch has worked on various projects like workshops, Seminars, National Conferences, and Social activities etc. The award is dedicated to all the members, students, and hard-working staff of the ICAI Pune Branch.”
