IRCTC Launches Budget Rail Tours from Mumbai to 10+ Destinations Including Vaishnodevi, Tirupati, Shimla, Somnath

Mumbai, 7th July 2025: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced a series of weekly Rail Tour Packages originating from Mumbai, offering confirmed train tickets and complete travel arrangements to major pilgrimage and heritage destinations across India. Prices for these all-inclusive packages start at ₹8,599 per person on twin-sharing basis.
Operated by IRCTC’s West Zone (Mumbai), the tours cover over 10 destinations including spiritual circuits like Vaishnodevi, Tirupati Balaji, Dwarka, Somnath, Shirdi, Omkareshwar, and Mahakaleshwar. Heritage and leisure sites featured in the itineraries include Shimla–Manali, Kufri, Ajanta–Ellora Caves, Rajwada Palace in Indore, Khajuraho Temples, Gwalior Fort, and New Palace Museum in Kolhapur.
Each tour package includes confirmed train travel in Sleeper, 3AC, or 2AC classes, deluxe hotel accommodations, AC vehicles for local transport and sightseeing, scheduled meals, travel insurance, and taxes.
The packages range from short 1 Night / 2 Days trips to longer 7 Nights / 8 Days journeys. Passengers can board trains from Mumbai and selected en-route stations, as specified in the individual tour itineraries.
According to Gaurav Jha, Group General Manager, IRCTC West Zone, the packages are designed for a broad range of travelers including families, pilgrims, and casual tourists. Tour departures are scheduled on multiple days each week, with bookings open up to five days prior to travel.
