Mahashivratri Celebrated In Various Temples In Vasai
Vasai, 18th February 2023: The festival of Mahashivratri was celebrated in many Shiva temples in Vasai-Virar. A special bus service has been started by the transport department of the municipality for the devotees. 11 hundred trips of 1,100 buses of 38 services were made available from Wednesday afternoon.
There are many small and big Shiva temples in Vasai, Virar. Among them, the Shiva temple on the Tungareshwar hill is prominent. Apart from this, there are Shiva temples at Ishwarpuri, Hathimohalla and Virar Phata. Devotees from various places, including the city, come for darshan, so Mahashivratri is celebrated with great enthusiasm. Mahashivratri festival could not be celebrated for two years due to the Corona crisis. But this year, the Mahashivratri festival was celebrated with enthusiasm. The work of planning it is being done by the Shiv Mandir management. All kinds of planning work like electric lighting, decoration of colourful flowers, darshan arrangement of devotees, parking arrangement, police arrangement, and traffic planning were made.
