Man Arrested in Thane for Murdering Wife Out of Jealousy, Leading to Grievous Crime Investigation

Mumbai, 12th October 2024: A 29-year-old man from Thane has been apprehended for allegedly murdering his wife out of suspicions of infidelity, as reported by authorities on Saturday.

The suspect, Bhaskar Narayan Sadavarte, who resides in the Siddeshwar Talao area, reportedly strangled his wife, Pramila, aged 27, on October 9, according to officials.

After the incident, Sadavarte attempted to escape to Nanded but was located and arrested by police in Kasara, within Thane district, as stated by police spokesperson Sailesh Salvi.

Family members of the victim informed the police that Sadavarte committed the act due to his belief that she had been unfaithful.
