Mega Block on Kalyan-Thane of Central Railway on 18th May 2025 (Sunday)
Kalyan, 16th May 2025: Mumbai Division will implement a Mega Block on its suburban sections on Sunday, 18th May 2025, to carry out various engineering and maintenance works. The block will affect both the Fast and Slow lines on multiple routes, including sections of the Harbour Line.
Details of the Mega Block:
1. UP and DOWN Fast Lines (Thane to Kalyan) from 10:40 hrs to 15:40 hrs
Down Fast/Semi-Fast local services departing from CSMT Mumbai between 09:34 hrs and 15:03 hrs will be diverted to the Down Slow line between Thane and Kalyan. These services will make additional stops at Kalva, Mumbra, and Diva stations, and will arrive at their destinations approximately 10 minutes later than scheduled.
Up Fast/Semi-fast services leaving Kalyan from 10:28 hrs to 15:40 hrs will be diverted to the Up Slow line between Kalyan and Thane. These services will also stop at Diva, Mumbra, and Kalva stations in addition to their regular halts. The services will be re-diverted to the Up Fast line at Mulund station, resulting in a delayed arrival by approximately 10 minutes.
2. Mail/Express Trains (Thane to Kalyan)
Down Mail/Express trains departing from CSMT/Dadar will be diverted to the 5th line between Thane and Kalyan.
Up Mail/Express trains arriving at CSMT/Dadar will be diverted to the 6th line between Kalyan and Thane/Vikhroli stations.
3. UP and DOWN Harbour Lines (Vadala Road to Mankhurd) from 11:00 hrs to 16:00 hrs
All UP and Down Harbour line services will be suspended between Vadala Road and Mankhurd stations during the block period.
UP Harbour line services from Panvel/Belapur/Vashi to CSMT Mumbai, leaving between 09:40 hrs and 15:28 hrs, will remain suspended.
DOWN Harbour line services to Panvel/Belapur/Vashi from CSMT Mumbai, leaving between 10:14 hrs and 15:54 hrs, will also remain suspended.
Special local trains will operate on the Panvel–Mankhurd–Panvel section during the block period.
4. Alternate Travel Arrangements
• Harbour line passengers can travel via the Trans Harbour line or the Manin line from 10:00 hrs to 16:30 hrs.
The Mega Block is being carried out to ensure the upkeep and safety of the railway infrastructure. Central Railway has requested passengers to bear with the inconvenience caused during the maintenance period.
