Mumbai: 10-Year-Old Boy Dies by Suicide at Madrasa in Malad’s Malwani Area

Mumbai, 30th December 2024: A 10-year-old boy reportedly died by suicide at a madrasa in Malwani, Malad (West), on Saturday night.

The boy was discovered lifeless at the madrasa by his older brother. As there was no suicide note found, the police have registered an accidental death report and are investigating the cause of death.

According to the Malwani police, the boy lived with his parents in Malwani and stayed at the madrasa every alternate day. On Saturday morning, his parents had dropped him off, but later that night, while other children were outside playing, he allegedly took his own life. The boy’s brother stated that he was unaware of any reasons behind his sibling’s actions.

The boy was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The police are now questioning the boy’s friends and the madrasa’s clerics to determine if he had shown signs of distress during his time there.
