Mumbai: 40-Year-Old Man From Vikhroli Booked Under POCSO Act For Sexually Assaulting A 16-Year-Old Minor
Vikhroli, 4th August 2023: A shocking incidence of rape and molestation has come to light in the Vikhorli area of Mumbai. A 40-year-old person has been apprehended by police in the case of sexual harassment and molestation of a minor girl.
The plaintiff in this case is a 16-year-old girl who lives with her parents in Vikhroli. The victim was introduced to the accused a few days ago, who was also living in the same area. According to the complaint, One month ago, the accused fraudulently called the girl to his house by alluring her.
At that time, the accused brutally raped and molested a girl and threatened her against speaking about it. Traumatised by the experience, the victim remained quiet about the incident until two days ago, when she told the entire incident to her family.
Accordingly, her family immediately rushed to the police station and lodged a complaint against the accused. Since the girl is a minor, the police have registered a case under The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POSCO) and arrested the accused on Wednesday itself.
