Mumbai Airport Named Best Airport With Over 40 Million Passengers By ACI
Mumbai, 6th March 2023: Airports Council International’s (ACI) Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards have named Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) the “Best Airport over 40 million passengers” for the year 2022 in the Asia Pacific region. The designation of “Best Airport” has been given to CSMIA for six years. Because they are based on customer feedback, the ASQ Awards are highly regarded in the airport business.
A first-of-its-kind Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT) and Solar PV system was unveiled at Mumbai Airport in the meantime. It is a step in the process of making the airport a 100% green, sustainable energy consumer. Also, the airport installed fast charging stations for electric vehicles (EVs) and welcomed approximately 45 EVs.
The newly rebuilt General Aviation terminal facility for private aircraft was also unveiled by the airport, which revolutionised luxury travel through Mumbai. Also, CSMIA introduced the “FASTag car park” to streamline the parking payment process and shorten dwell times.
