Mumbai and Thane Brace for Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall, IMD Warns
Mumbai, 24th July 2024: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an ‘orange’ alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall in Mumbai and Thane for Wednesday.
In addition, a ‘red’ alert has been declared for Palghar and Raigad, indicating heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas and extremely heavy rainfall in isolated spots.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has also forecasted heavy to very heavy rains in certain parts of the city and its suburbs from July 24 to July 28. The BMC has advised residents to avoid non-essential travel during this period.
