Mumbai: Auction Of Builder’s Properties To Be Held On 20th April In Morbi Gram Panchayat; Case Of 33 Warrants Issued By MahaRERA
 
                Mumbai, 10th April 2023: MahaRERA has issued warrants worth Rs 22.2 crore in 99 cases for the delay and similar matters in 38 projects in the Raigad district. Rs 6.50 crore is expected to be recovered from NK Bhupesh, a builder in the Panvel Tehsil Office area, against 33 warrants.
For the same, the Panvel Tehsil Office has seized the property of this developer bearing survey numbers 93/2/9, 93/3, 93/5, 93/6, 93/9, and 93/11 at Mauje Morbe. Now the auction of these properties has been held on 20th April at 11 am at the Gram Panchayat office, Mauje Morbe. Aspirants can visit the Panvel Tehsil Office to observe these properties from 11 am to 3 am till 19th April, excluding holidays.
MahaRERA has started to review the warrants issued by creating an independent system. Reminders have also been sent from time to time to the 13 Collectorate offices of the state to recover the warrants issued from time to time. In this regard, the concerned Deputy Collector, Tehsildar is being continuously followed up.
Rs 100.56 crores have been recovered from 118 warrants in Mumbai, Mumbai suburbs, Pune, and Raigad districts. This includes Rs 81 lakh from two cases in Raigad district.
Complaints of house buyers regarding non-handover of possession on time by concerned developers (builders), partial abandonment of projects, non-maintenance of prescribed quality, etc come to MahaRERA.
The respective builders are ordered to pay interest/damage compensation/refund etc within the prescribed time frame after hearing these various forms of complaints of the home buyers properly. The Collector’s office plays an important role in recovering the amount if the developer pays the amount within the given period. Therefore such warrants are sent from MahaRERA to the concerned Collectors.
MahaRERA is trying its best to ensure the effective implementation of orders passed by MahaRERA regarding payment of interest/damages/refunds by holding hearings from time to time.
