Mumbai: Central Railway Announces Mega Block on June 1, 2025, for Maintenance Works

Mumbai, 31st May 2025: Central Railway’s Mumbai Division will implement a scheduled Mega Block on its suburban network on Sunday, June 1, 2025, to carry out essential engineering and maintenance works. The block will affect both Main Line and Harbour Line services across specific time windows.
Main Line Mega Block: CSMT Mumbai – Vidyavihar (UP & DOWN Slow Lines)
The UP and DOWN slow lines between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) Mumbai and Vidyavihar will remain under block from 10:55 hrs to 15:55 hrs.
DOWN Slow Services: Suburban trains departing CSMT between 10:48 hrs and 15:45 hrs will be diverted to the DOWN fast line between CSMT and Vidyavihar. These trains will halt at Byculla, Parel, Dadar, Matunga, Sion, and Kurla before rejoining the slow line at Vidyavihar.
UP Slow Services: Trains departing Ghatkopar between 10:19 hrs and 15:52 hrs will be diverted to the UP fast line between Vidyavihar and CSMT and will halt at Kurla, Sion, Matunga, Dadar, Parel, and Byculla.
Harbour Line Mega Block: CSMT – Chunabhatti/Bandra (UP & DOWN Lines)
Harbour Line services will be affected in both directions between 11:10 hrs and 16:40 hrs.
DOWN Harbour Services: Trains from CSMT/Vadala Road to Vashi/Belapur/Panvel between 11:16 hrs and 16:47 hrs and trains to Bandra/Goregaon from 10:48 hrs to 16:43 hrs will remain suspended.
UP Harbour Services: Trains for CSMT from Panvel/Belapur/Vashi between 9:53 hrs and 15:20 hrs and from Goregaon/Bandra between 10:45 hrs and 17:13 hrs will also remain suspended.
Alternate Arrangements
Special suburban services will operate between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No.8) during the block period.
Harbour Line passengers may travel via the Main Line and Western Railway between 10:00 hrs and 18:00 hrs on the day of the block.
Central Railway has advised passengers to plan their journeys accordingly and stay updated via official communication channels during the scheduled Mega Block.
