Mumbai: Central Railway Rolls Out Special Trains On Anant Chaturdashi For Devotees’ Ease

Mumbai, 27th September 2023: The Central Railway has announced a special train service to provide vital connectivity to passengers on the occasion of Anant Chaturdashi between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and several key destinations. However, passengers and devotees are in for some disappointment as the service will not extend until Panvel this year.

Starting at midnight and running through the early hours of September 28th, these special local trains will operate between CSMT, Kalyan, Thane, and Belapur.

According to the schedule, the CSMT-Kalyan Special Local will depart from CSMT at 1:40 PM and arrive in Kalyan at 3:10 PM, with a second departure at 3:25 PM and arriving in Kalyan at 4:55 AM the following day.

Similarly, the CSMT-Thane Special Local will depart from CSMT at 2:30 PM and arrive in Thane at 3:30 PM, and the Kalyan-CSMT Special Local will depart from Kalyan at 12:05 PM and arrive at CSMT at 1:30 PM. The Thane-CSMT Special Local will depart from Thane at 1:00 AM and arrive at CSMT at 2:00 AM, with another departure at 2:00 PM, arriving at CSMT at 3:00 PM.

The CSMT-Belapur Special Local will depart from CSMT at 12:30 PM and arrive in Belapur at 2:35 PM, followed by a departure at 2:45 PM, arriving in Belapur at 3:50 PM. The Belapur-CSMT Special Local will depart from Belapur at 1:15 PM and arrive at CSMT at 2:20 PM, with a later departure at 2:00 PM, arriving at CSMT at 3:05 PM.

The railway has announced the new timetable to avoid inconvenience to devotees on the day of Anant Chaturdashi.
