Mumbai: Dead Man Found In Rickshaw, Murder Case Filed

Mumbai, 26th February 2023: The police have registered a case of murder in connection with the death of a person who was found unconscious in a rickshaw in Bandra West. This person has not yet been identified. It is suspected that the person died due to beating and strangulation, and the police have registered a case of murder in this regard.

A person was found unconscious in a rickshaw near Naupada Bridge in Bandra Lake. He was declared dead by doctors after being rushed to Bhabha Hospital in Bandra. The Bandra police had registered a case of accidental death in this case. The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained. This person had swelling in his eyes and forehead. There were also signs of strangulation. Therefore, the police have now registered a case of murder under section 302 of IPC in this case. An officer said that the police registered a case of murder in this case on the complaint of police constable Kishore Patil of Bandra police station. The officer said that the investigation is currently underway to identify the deceased.
