Mumbai: Horrific Blast At Firecracker Factory In Dahanu

Palghar, 17th June 2021: A big explosion has taken place at a firecracker manufacturing company at Dehanepale in Dahanu taluka of Palghar district. The blast took place around 10 am. The blast was so severe that the surrounding villages were shaken to a great extent. The blast was so powerful that it shook houses about five to ten kilometres away.

According to the information received, the welding work was going on in the company, meanwhile, the explosion took place due to fire. A large number of workers are trapped in the company and efforts were on to get them out.

Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far and the fire brigade has reached the spot. Rescue operations have begun at the scene.

“Ten people were burnt and one was seriously injured in the blast. The injured have been admitted to Dahanu Ashagad Hospital for treatment. Three fire trucks have arrived and efforts are underway to put out the blaze”, said the tehsildar.
