Mumbai Lalbaug Murder Case: Man From Uttar Pradesh Arrested, Interrogation Ongoing

Mumbai, 17th March 2023: A young man has been detained in the case of the murder of a girl’s mother in Mumbai’s Lalbaug area. Mumbai Police has detained a youth from Uttar Pradesh. This young man has been detained from Uttar Pradesh. The young man is being interrogated by the Mumbai Police. A 23-year-old girl killed her mother in the Lalbaug area of Mumbai. The body was then cut into pieces. The pieces were kept in the house for three months. The girl was arrested by the police on Tuesday. After that, a young man was detained from Uttar Pradesh. Mumbai Police said that the young man was in contact with this girl.

Veena Jain’s daughter Rimple lives in a building at Lalbaug in Mumbai. In this case, the police investigation revealed that Rimple was in contact with a sandwich-selling youth. Based on this, when the Mumbai police searched, the police came to know that this young man was in Uttar Pradesh. The youth has been detained and his investigation is on.

The girl reportedly killed her mother. After that, the mother’s body was also cut into pieces. These pieces were kept by this girl in the cupboard, in the fridge, and in the water drum. The entire incident came to light when the dismembered body was brought out from the house on Tuesday night. The girl spent three months in the house with the body parts. The name of the murdered woman is Veena Jain. The name of the girl arrested by the police is Rimple Jain.

According to the police, “On Tuesday, Rimple’s cousin went to her house to pay the money. As Veena Jain was not seen, the brother asked Rimple where she was. So, she said that she went to Kanpur. But, getting suspicious, he asked Rimple to open the door. When he entered the house, he noticed a foul smell.”

When the police showed the dead body to Veena Jain’s relatives, they identified the dead body. After this, the pieces have been sent for autopsy. Initially, when the police asked Rimple about the incident, she gave vague answers. She also said that her mother’s death was accidental. But when the police asked how the pieces of the mother’s body reached the closet and other places, Rimple could not give answers.
