Mumbai: Mega Block on Central, Trans-Harbour, and Western Railway Lines This Weekend
Mumbai, 24th October 2025: Commuters are advised to plan their journeys carefully as Central Railway and Trans-Harbour Line will undergo a mega block on Sunday, 26 October, for essential engineering and maintenance work. A night block has also been scheduled on the Western Railway line between Vasai Road and Bhayander stations.
Central Railway Mega Block
Where: Up and Down Fast Lines between Matunga and Mulund
When: 11:05 am to 3:45 pm on Sunday
Impact:
Fast trains departing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) between 10:36 am and 3:10 pm will be diverted to the slow line at Matunga. These trains will halt at all stations between Matunga and Mulund, reaching their destinations approximately 15 minutes late.
Fast trains departing Thane from 11:03 am to 3:38 pm will be diverted to the slow line at Mulund, stop at all stations between Mulund and Matunga, and then return to the fast line at Matunga.
Trans-Harbour Line Block
Where: Up and Down routes between Thane and Vashi/Nerul stations
When: 11:10 am to 4:10 pm on Sunday
Impact:
Train services between Vashi, Nerul, and Thane will remain completely suspended during the block period.
Down trains from Thane to Vashi, Nerul, and Panvel departing between 10:35 am and 4:07 pm will be cancelled.
Up trains from Panvel, Nerul, and Vashi to Thane departing between 10:25 am and 4:09 pm will also be cancelled.
Western Railway Night Block
Where: Between Vasai Road and Bhayander stations
When:
Up fast line: Saturday, 25 October, 11:30 pm to 3:00 am
Down fast line: Sunday, 26 October, 1:15 am to 4:45 am
Impact:
During the block, all trains on the fast line will run on the slow line between Virar and Bhayander/Borivali stations.
Some suburban trains in both directions may be cancelled due to the block.
Passengers are advised to check updated train schedules and allow additional travel time during the block periods.
