Mumbai: Miniscule Broil Claims Life Of 26-Year-Old In Chembur, Murder Case Registered
Chembur, 31st October 2023: In the Chembur locality, a 26-year-old youth lost his life following a violent assault on Sunday, October 29. The victim, identified as Afzal Basral Ali Shaikh, was fatally attacked after he confronted the accused over abusive language. The Chembur RCF police arrested the perpetrator, and a murder case has been filed against him.
The victim, Afzal Basral Ali Shaikh, a resident of Chembur’s Vishna Nagar area, had been playing cards on a Sunday afternoon in the Vishnunagar area. During the game, Shaikh exchanged glances with the accused, Jalaluddin Shah, aged 46. An altercation ensued when Shah verbally abused Shaikh in response to the exchanged glances.
As tensions escalated, Shaikh confronted Shah over his abusive language. In the heat of the moment, Shah resorted to physical violence, striking Shaikh in the chest. This blow caused Shaikh to collapse on the ground, receiving a major injury to his head.
After the assault, Shaikh felt unconscious, and he was rushed to Shatabdi Hospital by nearby citizens. Tragically, doctors at the hospital declared Shaikh dead after a thorough examination.
In response to this incident, the RCF police initiated a thorough investigation into the case. The accused, Jalaluddin Shah, was arrested on the basis of a complaint filed by Shaikh’s brother, Sabuddin Shaikh.
