Mumbai Police Detain Four People For Shooting Developer

Mumbai, 21st March 2023: Police announced on Monday that four people, including three from Bihar, have been detained in relation to the shooting of a developer in Navi Mumbai.

According to Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner Milind Bharambe, the case’s primary suspect was arrested in Rajkot, Gujarat, on Saturday, while the three gunmen he had hired were from Bihar.

He claimed that on 15th March, in Nerul, two motorcycle-born males shot and killed Savjibai Gokar Manjeri (56).

According to the official, a violation of the relevant provisions of the Arms Act, the Maharashtra Police Act, and section 302 of the Indian Criminal Code (murder) were reported.

The primary suspect admitted to having a long-standing disagreement with the victim and hiring Bihar gunmen for Rs 25 lakh to carry out the crime during questioning.

According to the official, one of the contract killers observed the victim’s movements while the other two shot him to death.

He stated that the other suspects involved in the crime had also been located, and a search had been started for them.
