Mumbai Police Seize 400 kg of Illegal Animal Meat, Four Arrested in Kandivali
Mumbai, 6th August 2024: On Tuesday, Mumbai police reported the seizure of approximately 400 kg of illegal animal meat from a tempo, leading to the arrest of four individuals. The operation followed a tip-off, resulting in the interception of the vehicle in Kandivali on Sunday.
The police official from Kandivali stated that nearly 400 kg of cow meat was confiscated and four people, including a beef shop owner, were taken into custody. The source of the meat is still under investigation.
The arrested individuals have been charged under the applicable legal statutes. Additionally, authorities are searching for one more suspect in connection with the case.
