Mumbai: Railways to Run 12 Additional Puja Special Trains Between LTT and Varanasi

Mumbai, 10th October 2025: To manage the increased passenger traffic during the upcoming Diwali and Chhath Puja festival season, Indian Railways has announced 12 additional special train services between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT), Mumbai, and Varanasi.
According to the schedule, Train No. 04225 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus–Varanasi Special will depart from LTT at 16:55 hrs every Tuesday from October 14 to November 18, 2025, and will arrive at Varanasi at 02:05 hrs on the third day.
In the return direction, Train No. 04226 Varanasi–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Special will leave Varanasi at 01:35 hrs every Monday from October 13 to November 17, 2025, and will reach Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 14:25 hrs the next day.
The special trains will halt at Thane, Kalyan, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Rani Kamlapati (Bhopal), Bina, Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi, Orai, Kanpur Central, Lucknow, Sultanpur, and Jaunpur City.
The train composition will include 4 AC 2-Tier coaches, 9 AC 3-Tier coaches, and 2 Generator Cars.
Reservations for Train No. 04225 will open on October 12, 2025, at all computerized reservation centres and on the official IRCTC website www.irctc.co.in.
