Mumbai Records Maharashtra’s Highest Temperature of 35.6°C After Seasonal Low of 13.7°C

Mumbai, 12th December 2024: After experiencing the season’s lowest temperature of 13.7°C two days ago, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 35.6°C on Wednesday, the highest in the state according to various India Meteorological Department (IMD) stations. The minimum temperature also remained relatively high.

The IMD explained that while northerly winds that caused the temperature drop on Monday were short-lived, another drop is expected after December 14, though it may not be as significant.

On Wednesday, the Santacruz observatory recorded a maximum of 35.6°C, which is 2.5°C above normal, with a minimum temperature of 20°C, 1.2°C above normal. The Colaba observatory, meanwhile, saw a maximum of 33.7°C, 1°C above normal, and a minimum of 22.6°C, which is 0.9°C above normal.
