Mumbai: Santacruz Sets New July Rain Record!
Mumbai, 26th July 2023: Santacruz, Mumbai, has witnessed a historic downpour this July, surpassing all previous records. As of 8.30 am on 26th July 2023, the rain gauge had already measured an astounding 1433 mm, inching closer to the previous record of 1502 mm in July 2020.
However, at 8.30 pm on the same day, the city experienced heavy showers, tipping the scale to a remarkable total of 1557.8 mm. With this new milestone, Santacruz now holds the title for the wettest July ever recorded.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation as the rain persists in the region.
