Wadala, 28th October 2023: In a chilling incident, a woman’s lifeless body was discovered near the Mumbai Port Trust (MBPT) in Wadala East, bearing the brutal marks of a fatal blow to her head. This grim discovery has led to a murder case being filed by the Wadala police.

The woman’s charred remains were found concealed within a burnt sack, nestled between entrance numbers 4 and 5 of the MBPT area, on a Thursday. Promptly responding to the distressing report, a team from the Wadala police arrived at the scene. However, the victim’s identity remains a mystery, though it is believed she was aged between 35 and 40.

The woman’s corpse exhibited grievous head injuries, and the police further noted fractures in both her elbows and knees. Identifying the victim proved to be an arduous task, given the extensive burns her body had suffered.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the body was wrapped in a sack, transported to the location, and then subjected to a deliberate act of arson.
