Mumbai: Special Train for Ashadi Ekadashi Devotees Departs CSMT, Pandharpur Bound
Mumbai, 16th July 2024: On the occasion of Ashadi Ekadashi, amidst divine chants of “Vitthal Vitthal” and bhajans sung by devotees, a Special Train to Pandharpur departed from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) on July 16th.
The event was graced by Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra; Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Minister for Tourism, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt of Maharashtra, and Guardian Minister for Mumbai Suburban; and Ashish Shelar, Member of the Legislative Assembly.
Designated as Special Train no. 00123 on a Full Tariff Rates (FTR) basis, it left CSMT at 3:44 pm on July 16th, 2024, and is scheduled to arrive in Pandharpur at 3:30 am on July 17th, 2024. The return journey will commence from Pandharpur at 10:50 am on July 18th, 2024, and reach CSMT at 8:45 pm on the same day. The train will also halt at Thane station for the convenience of devotees boarding and disembarking.
This special train has been organized to accommodate the large number of devotees travelling to Pandharpur for the Ashadi Ekadashi festival. Shanti Bhushan, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Admin), and other senior officers from the Mumbai Division were also present to oversee the arrangements.
