Mumbai: Sunaina Kejriwal, Director of Kamalnayan Bajaj Hall, Passes Away at 53 After Battling Cancer

Mumbai, 7th October 2024: Sunaina Kejriwal, director of the Kamalnayan Bajaj Hall and Art Gallery, passed away in Mumbai on Saturday at the age of 53. Sunaina, the daughter of industrialist Rahul Bajaj and wife of Manish Kejriwal, founder and managing partner of Kedaara Capital, had been battling cancer for the past three years.

She is survived by her husband, Manish Kejriwal, two sons, Aryaman and Nirvaan, as well as her brothers Rajiv and Sanjiv Bajaj, who reside in Pune.

Sunaina pursued a Post Graduate Diploma Programme at the Bhau Daji Lad Museum, focusing on “The History of Indian Art – Modern & Contemporary & Curatorial Studies.” She also earned a bachelor’s degree specializing in textiles from S.N.D.T. College, Pune, and completed a Silk Screen Printing course at Sophia College, Mumbai.

Actively involved in arts and philanthropy, Sunaina played a significant role in managing the Kamalnayan Bajaj Hall and Art Gallery, contributing greatly to Mumbai’s cultural scene. Her interests included pottery, art, theatre, and travel. She was also an active member of YPO and EO Platinum, as mentioned in her biography on the official Bajaj Group website.

The Bajaj family has a strong association with Mahatma Gandhi’s freedom struggle, and through the Jamnalal Bajaj Foundation, they have been instrumental in restoring several heritage structures.
