Mumbai: Worli Hit-and-Run Case: BMW Driver Flees Scene, Arrested After Victim Dies

Mumbai, 29th July 2024: In a recent hit-and-run incident in Mumbai, 28-year-old Vinod Laad died after being struck by a speeding BMW on July 20 in the Worli area. Laad, who was on his two-wheeler, was hit from behind by the vehicle, causing him severe injuries. The driver, Kiran Indulkar, fled the scene, leaving Laad in critical condition.
Laad was transported to a hospital by residents but unfortunately passed away on July 27, a week after the accident. Following the incident, Indulkar was charged and subsequently arrested.
This case marks the third hit-and-run incident in Mumbai within a month. Previously, on July 7, a BMW driven by Mihir Shah, the son of Shiv Sena leader Rajesh Shah, crashed into a scooter in Worli, resulting in the death of a woman and injuries to her husband. Another incident occurred on July 22, when a speeding Audi collided with two auto-rickshaws, injuring the drivers and two passengers.
