Navi Mumbai Police Arrest Man Wanted for Robbery and Attempted Murder, Seize Heroin and Ganja
Navi Mumbai, 7th October 2024: A man wanted for multiple serious crimes, including robbery and attempted murder, has been arrested with heroin and marijuana in Navi Mumbai, police reported on Sunday.
Based on a tip-off, a narcotics team from the Navi Mumbai police apprehended the suspect, Rajan Bala Rathod (32), on the Panvel highway on Friday, an official stated.
The police team seized 21 grams of heroin, 1 kilogram of marijuana, and other related items valued at Rs 6 lakh, the official added.
Rathod, who resides in Govandi, Mumbai, has seven cases registered against him for offences under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, Arms Act, and Indian Penal Code at different police stations across Mumbai, according to the official.
