Newborn’s Body Found in Mumbai International Airport Restroom, Investigation Underway
Mumbai, 26th March 2025: A distressing discovery was made at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport when a newborn’s body was found inside a restroom trash bin late Tuesday night.
Authorities have initiated a thorough investigation to determine who abandoned the infant.
According to reports, airport security personnel came across the newborn around 10:30 PM and promptly informed Mumbai Police. The baby was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors sadly confirmed that the infant was deceased upon arrival.
The Sahar Police have registered a case against an unidentified individual and are reviewing CCTV footage from the airport to identify the person responsible.
In addition to surveillance footage, forensic experts are analyzing evidence, and investigators are collaborating with airlines to examine passenger records for possible leads.
Officials have urged anyone with information regarding the case to come forward as the inquiry progresses. Further updates are awaited.
