Panvel Student Jaideep More Tops GATE Exam With 93.67 Percent

Navi Mumbai, 4th April 2023: Jaideep More, a third-year Computer Science and Information Technology student at Somaiya College, Vidyavihar, has topped the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) exam. Jaideep, a resident of Karanjade node in the Panvel taluka, scored 93.67 percent in the national-level aptitude test for Engineering. His father Sudhakar and mother Devyani expressed their pride as their son raised the name of the state in the country.

Jaideep had been preparing for the GATE exam for the past two years and stayed away from all social media except for the mobile course in college. GATE is an aptitude test for Engineering conducted at the national level. Merit in this exam determines admission to postgraduate Engineering and Science subjects. Jaideep’s secondary education was at CKT School in Panvel, and he completed his 11th and 12th from Mahatma College.

After learning that Jaideep had topped the country, the Panvel President of Karanjade Node Flat Owner Welfare Association, Chandrakant Mahadev Gujar, and Association Secretary Subhash Rale went to his house to congratulate him. They praised Jaideep and said he had made it possible by studying every year’s notes to crack the tough GATE exam. The More family is one of the project victims whose land was acquired for the original Koyna Dam.
