Pune: Family Outing Takes a Tragic Turn: 12-Year-Old Boy Dies in Two-Wheeler Accident near Katraj Tunnel
Katraj, 4th March 2024: An incident unfolded on the Katraj Dehu Road bypass of the Mumbai-Bengaluru National Highway, specifically in the vicinity of the New Katraj Tunnel, leading to the demise of a 12-year-old school-going child, Aditya Sachin Bhintade. The incident involved a two-wheeler carrying Aditya, his father Sachin (43 years old), and his mother Vasanti (38 years old).
The family of Sachin, Vasanti, and Aditya, had embarked on a journey to Satara from the Dehu Road bypass route on a Sunday afternoon. Near the new Katraj tunnel, Sachin lost control of the vehicle, resulting in a fall. The aftermath of the accident left Sachin, Vasanti, and Aditya with injuries, leading to their hospitalization.
Aditya succumbed to severe head injuries while undergoing treatment in the hospital. Meanwhile, Sachin and Vasanti, the parents, are currently receiving medical attention for their injuries. The investigation into the incident is being conducted by Police Sub-Inspector Mohan Jadhav.
