Pune Metro Responds to Commuter Demand with Rs 100 Unlimited Daily Pass

Pune, 9th March 2024: Pune Metro responds to surging commuter demand by introducing a new daily pass priced at ₹100, offering unlimited access to metro services from 6 am to 10 pm.
The official Pune Metro X (formerly Twitter) handle revealed that this pass permits unrestricted travel on both metro routes – from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) to Civil Court and Vanaz to Ramwadi. Notably, pass holders enjoy the flexibility of multiple entries and exits at any station. However, it’s crucial to note that the pass fee is non-refundable, with no applicable discounts.
This development follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent virtual inauguration of a pivotal 5.5km stretch on the Pune Metro. This extension finalizes the Vanaz to Ramwadi line, fostering connectivity between the city’s eastern and western sectors.
In addition to unveiling the new stretch, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for the upcoming PCMC to Nigdi (Bhakti Shakti Chowk) route. Approved by the Centre in October of the previous year, this elevated stretch will feature four stations – Chinchwad, Akurdi, Nigdi, and Bhakti Shakti Chowk – covering a total length of 4.413km, with an estimated project cost of ₹910.18 crore.
