Pune: Planned Power Outage In Mulshi For 6 Hours To Affect 6,000 Consumers On Sunday, March 3

Pune, 2nd March 2024: In a scheduled maintenance effort, some parts of Mulshi taluka are set to experience a planned power outage lasting six hours on Sunday (3rd March). The disruption is necessary to facilitate repair work at Mahatransco’s Pirangut 220/22 KV ultra-high pressure substation.
The scheduled power cut, lasting from 8 am to 2 pm, is expected to impact approximately 6,000 consumers in several villages of Mulshi taluka. The repair work is imperative due to a detected fault in the power transformer with a capacity of 50 MVA at the Pirangut substation.
The fault has been identified in the 220/22 KV substation, prompting Mahatransco to initiate repair work on the power transformer starting Sunday morning. As a result, the power supply from five lines connected to this sub-centre will be temporarily discontinued. Of these, four lines cater to high-voltage consumers, while one extends to Ghotavade, Bhare, Rihe, Katarkhadak, Pimpoli, Mulkhed, Khanekar Vasti, Bhegdewadi, Ozharkarwadi, Andhele Gaon, Borkarwadi, Amlewadi, Matarwadi, Padalkarwadi, Landgewadi, Kemsewadi, Khamboli, Godambiwadi (one and two), supplying electricity to villages and hamlets such as Shelkewadi, Deokarwadi, and others.
Consequently, both low-pressure and high-pressure consumers, totaling around 6,000, will experience a temporary power cut during the specified hours. Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) and Mahatransco have jointly appealed for cooperation from the affected consumers during this maintenance period.
