Railway Service Disrupted between Kalyan and Kasara, Stranding Passengers for Hours

Kalyan, 28th June 2023: The railway service between Kalyan and Kasara has been disrupted as a result of silt accumulation on the railway tracks and a failure in the signal system. Passengers on the Vidarbha Express and Kasara Local trains have been left stranded due to the closure of the down route to Kasara, leading to significant delays of up to one and a half hours on these routes.

According to sources, due to a technical fault in the signal between Vasind station and Kalyan, trains on the Kalyan-Kasara route are running one to one and a half hours late from their estimated time. Due to this, the students and office employees are suffering heavily. Passengers have to stand and travel in the train for more than an hour due to a lack of signal.

Similarly, the down route towards Kasara has been closed between Khardi and Kasara due to mud on the track near Umbarmali railway station. Due to this, the two trains, namely the Vidarbha Express and Kasara Local, have been stopped.

The disruption of railway services along the Kalyan-Kasara route has triggered widespread inconvenience and frustration among passengers. With the trains running significantly behind schedule and the unavailability of alternative transportation options, travellers have been left with limited choices.
