Reports Suggest BJP MP Kangana Ranaut Considering Sale of Mumbai Bungalow for Rs 40 Crore

Mumbai, 5th August 2024: Reports surfaced on Sunday suggesting that BJP MP Kangana Ranaut might be considering the sale of her Bandra bungalow in Mumbai for an impressive ₹40 crore. This property, which previously made headlines in 2020 due to a demolition dispute with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), has again come into the spotlight.

A YouTube channel named Code Estate recently posted a video about a production house office available for sale. Notably, Kangana’s bungalow also houses her production company, Manikarnika Films. Although the video did not explicitly name Ranaut, the description and visual clues strongly indicated that the office in question belonged to her.

The bungalow spans 285 square meters with a constructed area of 3,042 square feet. The video’s host mentioned that the property is listed for ₹40 crore.

Kangana Ranaut has not yet responded to these reports.

The bungalow gained attention when the BMC accused it of having unauthorized extensions. In September 2020, the civic body demolished parts of Kangana’s office in Pali Hill, Bandra (West), citing illegal construction. Demolition efforts were halted midway following a Bombay High Court stay order issued on September 9. Kangana subsequently filed a case against the BMC, initially seeking ₹2 crore in compensation, but she withdrew this claim in May 2023.

The Bombay High Court later overturned the BMC’s demolition order, ruling that the civic body’s actions were “malafide” and disregarded Kangana’s rights.

On the professional front, Kangana is set to appear in her upcoming film, *Emergency*.
