Rohit Sharma Takes a Break from Cricket, Spotted Driving Lamborghini in Mumbai

Mumbai, 9th October 2024: Rohit Sharma is currently enjoying a break from cricket after recently leading India in a two-match Test series against Bangladesh. Following his retirement from T20 internationals, the Test and ODI captain was seen driving his Lamborghini around Mumbai. A video surfaced online showing Rohit warmly wishing a young fan a happy birthday from his car.
After completing a successful series against Bangladesh, Rohit will return to captain Team India in a three-match Test series against New Zealand, scheduled from October 16 to November 5. Following their victory over Bangladesh, the Indian team aims to win three more matches this season to secure a spot in next year’s World Test Championship final at Lord’s.
India is striving to reach the WTC final for the third consecutive time, having previously lost to New Zealand and Australia in the last two finals held in England.
With the team selection largely settled, Rohit Sharma and Gautam Gambhir are focusing on maintaining consistency ahead of the crucial series. KL Rahul is expected to keep his position, with Sarfaraz Khan on standby in case of injuries.
In the bowling department, significant changes are unlikely. Akash Deep is anticipated to retain his place alongside leading seamers Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah.
Additionally, Nitish Kumar Reddy may receive a Test call-up before the Australia tour. Despite having played only one international match, he could potentially replace Shardul Thakur for a selection spot.
