Security Breach at Mumbai Airport: Man Arrested for Scaling Wall

Mumbai, 5th March 2024: A 40-year-old individual, Shankar Singe, was apprehended on Sunday afternoon for attempting unauthorized entry into Mumbai Airport. His method involved scaling the security wall from the Vile Parle (East) side. The Mumbai police main control room received a call, prompting a swift response from the Vile Parle police, leading to Singe’s capture between 2:40 pm and 2:50 pm.

The arrest was made based on a complaint filed by CISF inspector Ashutosh Kumar, stationed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai. Notably, Singe, identified as an individual with a history of alcohol-related issues, had faced a similar charge in the past.

The Vile Parle police officer disclosed that Singe was apprehended after the CISF reported his attempt to climb the airport wall. This act was observed as he scaled a public toilet near the compound wall, and his intentions to gain unauthorized access were thwarted by law enforcement.
