Thane, 22nd August 2024: A disturbing road rage incident was captured on camera on Tuesday on the Badlapur-Ambernath road in Thane. The footage shows a black Tata Harrier SUV repeatedly colliding with a white Toyota Fortuner, causing injuries to at least four individuals. The Fortuner was occupied by a mother and her child at the time.

Police have stated that the altercation stemmed from a clash between two groups. As of now, no formal case has been filed.

In a separate road rage episode earlier this week in Mumbai, two priests were attacked by a group of individuals. The altercation began when a motorcyclist collided with the priests’ scooter, causing them to fall and sustain leg injuries. When the priests confronted the motorcyclist, he verbally abused them and left the scene after assaulting them.

Shortly after, three men arrived at the scene and attacked the priests with sticks and knives. The assault, which took place on a crowded street, was witnessed by horrified onlookers. A video of the attack circulated widely on social media.

Following the release of the video, Kandivali police contacted the priests and took their statements. Based on their accounts, an FIR was filed against four men under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including 109 (attempt to murder) and 115 (causing hurt). The police have arrested two suspects, identified as Khilare and Chotu Maniyar.
